Palmer Manufactured Homes

A little bit of history

About
  • Pictured is Claude N. Palmer working on one of  the first Palmer Homes in 1954!  He started out by refinishing homes. He hauled a few homes with his station wagon! While in the Navy Claude and his young family lived in 8' wide trailer homes, where he was stationed. When he came back to the valley to live in Sayre, PA, Claude worked at Stroehmans and with his wife started fixing up and selling used homes at night.  Being raised on a dairy farm in Mainesburg, PA they knew how to work hard. When the family moved to Waverly, NY in 1961, at our current location, they bought their first new home. They grew the family adding a couple more children to the family and also grew the business. And here we are many, many years and a couple generations later loving our "family farm" and loving providing affordable homes to our customers!
